Our team of nurses acts as a liaison between facility staff and pharmacy operations to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, resident care, staff proficiency and consistency of management.

Along with our consultant pharmacist and QA team, our nursing team does periodic inspections of the facility medication rooms and carts, observes medication administration, assists customers during annual licensure surveys, provides support in reaching CMS’ Quality Initiatives and helps ensure new customers enjoy a smooth and error-free transition to the Guardian Mid-South Pharmacy family.

To meet facility needs, our nursing representatives provide onsite customized professional development programs, educational programs, and CEU approved classes, including those for RNs, LNs and discharge planners. Residential care facilities can utilize our pharmacy staff in-services to keep abreast of changes, maintain the highest level of care for residents and reduce bounce backs and readmissions. We also provide IV and Infusion certification courses.

Should questions arise about any of our services, our nurses maintain sufficient documentation on each individual account to ensure appropriate and timely resolution.
