On June 29, nearly 200 children and family professionals gathered in Nashville, TN for The Tennessee Alliance for Children and Families 12th Annual Education and Leadership Conference. The event was hosted at The Hotel Preston.
Roughly 70 different agencies attended this year’s conference. The keynote speakers were Dr. Kenston Griffon and Rhonda Sciortino. Dr. Griffin was the first speaker at the conference and he conducted a presentation titled “C.H.A.N.G.E. It’s Simpler Than You Think.” On day two of the conference, Rhonda Sciortino opened the day with a speech titled “Successful Because Of What You Went Through.”
Guardian Pharmacy was proud to attend this event and meet with bright, energetic professionals during breaks from sessions and speeches. During these meetings, we were able to explain the difference between using a local retail pharmacy and a long-term care pharmacy. It was clear during these discussions that a shorter cycle for medication was preferred so agencies can avoid generating waste and conducting inefficient med passes.
This event was truly informative and momentous for those in attendance. Guardian Pharmacy enjoyed participating and meeting with professionals who work so hard to care for children and families.
