This year, Youth Villages will help more than 27,000 children across the nation. Youth Villages provides help for children and young people across the United States who face a wide range of emotional, mental and behavioral problems. They work to find solutions using proven treatment models that strengthen the child’s family and support systems and dramatically improve their long-term success.
It was an honor for Guardian Pharmacy to present to an incredible group of caring individuals that work tirelessly at Youth Villages. Curt Bicknell presented “A Review of Psychoactive Medications” used at Youth Villages. Curt was able to give the Youth Villages team a pharmacist perspective of the top 10 psychoactive medications administered at Youth Villages. Curt educated the crowd on signs to look for as it relates to side effects of each medication. The presentation closed with excellent questions from the participants.
